Some more ghostsigns that we saw around Cork city – do you know where they are?
When we asked our family and friends, none of them knew how far apart the two photos on the left were. They are the Rotisserie and the Bedsteads. Do you?
It is much easier to make out the writing with my eyes than in the photos.

In September, we started our walking and photographing in the city. We started by taking the photographs ourselves. We thought it would be better if we were in the photographs and not behind the camera so we went back again.
Just before Christmas, we went back to Washington Street and saw that the old Bedstead ghostsign had been removed and a new sign for Rotisserie had been painted. It was made to look like a ghostsign. So the two signs are on the same building. They are not apart at all.

The Grocer is at the start of Washington Street. It is across the road from door to St Augustine’s Church.
The Aquarium is before the Courthouse and is nearly opposite the old Bedsteads at number 35. We have been to the Aquarium in Dingle a few times. We don’t know if this building in Cork had as many fish, crabs and penguins.
