We asked many of our grown-up relations where this was and none of them knew. Do you?

In his book Cork Cinemas, Mr. John McSweeny has an old photograph of the Pavillion Cinema. It opened on St Patrick’s Street in 1931. It closed in 1989 but the sign can still be seen.
The last film shown was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. My aunt told us that there used to be a coffee shop in the Pavillion and she used to go there often after school with her friends.

The Drug Company is on Elbow Lane.
Oasis are now on the building where Montague Burton still has a sign. As you can see, that was one of the good days when we got a hot dog from O’Flynns.
My dad told me that the movie The Full Monty is named after Montague Burton and it meant a full set of suit, shirt, tie and shoes bought from the mens clothes shop.
