We took photographs of these ghostsigns around Cork. They are all for Murphy’s Stout. My dad didn’t know where any of them were. Do you?

The first one is at the junction of Lower Glanmire Road and Grattan Hill.
The second one is on Douglas Street. There were builders working on the building so maybe it might not be a ghost for much longer.
The third and fourth photographs are of a building on Sheares Street, at the junction of Meade Street.
The writing goes around the corner on two walls of the building.

The fourth sign for Murphy’s Stout is on Barrack’s Street.
The fifth sign is on Great William O’Brien Street.
Another connection we found is that this sign is opposite the road from the Cork City Archives where Mr Brian McGee works. The building is named after Seamus Murphy

The second last one is at North Gate Bridge and is now covered in butter wrappers The last one is on the National Tavern in Dillon’s Cross which is now closed down.
